Privacy policy

Folde is designed as a private, local-first journal. This policy explains what stays on your device and when Apple services are used.

隐私政策

Folde 是一款以隐私和本地存储为核心的日常记录应用。本政策说明哪些数据留在设备上，以及何时使用 Apple 服务。

1. Scope

This policy applies to Folde on iPhone and iPad, including its WidgetKit extension. The current version does not operate an advertising, analytics, or content-sync server and does not sell personal information.

本政策适用于 iPhone 和 iPad 上的 Folde 及其 WidgetKit 小组件。当前版本不运行广告、分析或内容同步服务器，也不会出售个人信息。

2. Data Folde handles

Records and media

Titles, notes, dates, tags, formatting, counters, and photos you add are stored in the app's local SwiftData store on your device.

Apple account information

If you choose Sign in with Apple, Folde stores the Apple user identifier in Keychain and may store the name or email Apple provides in local preferences. Apple may provide a name only during the first authorization. Local mode remains available.

Location and weather

If you grant location access and request weather, Folde uses your current location to request conditions through Apple WeatherKit. Folde does not retain your coordinates. A small weather summary may be stored in the shared App Group for the widget.

Notifications

If enabled, Folde stores your preferred reminder time and schedules reminders locally through Apple's notification system.

2. Folde 处理的数据

Apple 账户信息

如果选择“通过 Apple 登录”，Folde 会在钥匙串中保存 Apple 用户标识，并可能在本地偏好设置中保存 Apple 提供的姓名或邮箱。Apple 可能只在首次授权时提供姓名。你仍可选择本地模式。

位置与天气

在你授权位置并主动请求天气后，Folde 使用当前位置通过 Apple WeatherKit 获取天气。Folde 不保存坐标；小组件所需的简要天气结果可能保存在共享 App Group 中。

通知

启用提醒后，Folde 会保存你选择的提醒时间，并通过 Apple 通知系统在设备本地安排提醒。

3. How data is used

Local data is used only to provide features you request: calendar and timeline display, record editing, tag filtering, tracker trends, widget snapshots, reminders, and backups. Folde does not use your records for advertising, profiling, tracking, or AI model training.

No hidden uploadYour journal content is not transmitted to a Folde server in the current version.

3. 数据用途

本地数据仅用于实现你主动使用的功能，包括日历与时间线展示、记录编辑、标签筛选、Tracker 趋势、小组件、本地提醒和备份。Folde 不会将记录用于广告、画像、追踪或 AI 模型训练。

不会暗中上传当前版本不会把你的日记内容传输到 Folde 服务器。

4. Apple services and permissions

  • Sign in with Apple: optional identity and profile information.
  • WeatherKit and Location Services: current weather after permission and an explicit request.
  • Photos and Camera: only media you select or capture for a record.
  • Notifications: optional local reminders.
  • WidgetKit and App Groups: a limited snapshot required to render the widget.

Permissions can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.

4. Apple 服务与设备权限

  • 通过 Apple 登录：可选的身份与资料信息。
  • WeatherKit 与定位服务：授权并主动请求后获取当前天气。
  • 照片与相机：仅处理你为记录选择或拍摄的媒体。
  • 通知：可选的本地提醒。

你可以随时在 iOS“设置”中修改权限。

5. Encrypted backups

Backups are created only when you request one. The archive is encrypted on your device with AES-GCM using a key derived from the password you provide. Folde does not know or recover that password.

iOS then presents the system share sheet. You decide where the file is sent or stored, and the chosen destination's privacy practices apply.

5. 加密备份

只有在你主动操作时才会创建备份。备份使用 AES-GCM 在设备上加密，密钥由你提供的密码派生。Folde 不知道该密码，也无法帮你找回。

随后 iOS 会显示系统分享面板，文件发送或保存到哪里完全由你决定，并适用对应目的地的隐私规则。

6. Retention, controls, and deletion

  • Records remain on the device until you delete them or remove the app.
  • You can delete individual records, trackers, and tags inside Folde.
  • Signing out removes the locally stored Apple profile but does not delete journal records.
  • Deleting the app removes its local database according to iOS behavior. Exported backups remain until you delete them at their destination.

6. 保留、控制与删除

  • 记录会一直留在设备上，直到你主动删除或卸载应用。
  • 你可以在 Folde 中删除单条记录、Tracker 和标签。
  • 退出登录会移除本地保存的 Apple 资料，但不会删除日记记录。
  • 卸载应用会按照 iOS 机制移除本地数据库；已导出的备份需在保存位置另行删除。

7. Security

Folde uses Apple platform protections, app sandboxing, Keychain for the Apple user identifier, and authenticated encryption for exported backups. Protect your device passcode, keep iOS updated, and store backup passwords separately.

Folde 使用 Apple 平台安全机制、应用沙盒、钥匙串保存 Apple 用户标识，并对导出备份使用带认证的加密。请保护设备密码、及时更新 iOS，并单独保存备份密码。

8. Children

Folde is a general-purpose personal journal and is not directed to children under 13. The current version does not operate a server that knowingly collects personal information from children.

Folde 是通用个人记录工具，并非面向 13 岁以下儿童。当前版本不运营会主动收集儿童个人信息的服务器。

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Folde's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes will be presented as appropriate.

Folde 的功能或数据实践发生变化时，本政策可能更新。页面顶部的生效日期会同步调整，重大变化将视情况进行说明。
